Foaming formulas tend to be more alkaline than acidic. As our skin is naturally slightly acidic, alkaline products can cause an imbalance in the topical microbiome, resulting in scalp irritation and greasy roots. Apple cider vinegar in Supa_Thick Shampoo lowers the pH level and adds shine to hair.
Supa_Thick Shampoo is formulated with ingredients that bond to the hair structure, reducing breakage, friction and damage. Humectant vitamin B5 (panthenol) attracts moisture to hair, improving the hydration levels, elasticity and strength of every strand.
Our scalp creates sebum oil to coat each individual hair, adding moisture and a protective barrier. To build strength and elasticity, we added oat oil to Supa_Thick Shampoo, full of vitamin E, linoleic and oleic acid (omega-9), the latter of which is naturally found in sebum.
Seaweed and algae have long been known for their naturally hydrating properties. Supa_Thick Shampoo contains Malaysian red microalgae, which is mineral-rich and deeply hydrating for all hair types.

Rather than using SLS or SLES which not only strip the hair of natural oils but also disrupt the scalp microbiome, we use a gentle blend of Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate. All these SLS-free and low-foam ingredients are derived from coconut.

No, our Supa_Thick Shampoo doesn’t contain any synthetic fragrance, only naturally derived essential oils. Due to labeling regulations we have to use the word ‘parfum’ as a catch-all for any fragrance in a formula.
Yes, the formula is designed to support hair and scalp health which results in thicker, fuller and stronger hair. The formulas have been developed to work for all ethnicities, focusing on the structure of the hair follicle which varies across ethnicities. Caucasian hair tends to have an oval shaped follicle with straight to curly hair, Asian hair tends to have round to slightly oval follicles with straight to wavy hair, and African hair tends to have oval to elliptical follicles with curly to coiled hair. By focusing on scalp help, using ingredients which penetrate the hair cortex and bind to damaged surface areas, the formulas will nourish and repair without adding weight or product deposits on the hair.
